Brand Strategy • Marketing Communications • Consumer Insights • Campaign Development

Marketing is where creativity meets problem-solving, and that's exactly what drew me to the field. I enjoy understanding how people think, uncovering consumer insights, and transforming those insights into campaigns that create meaningful connections between brands and their audiences.

Through my experience at BayCare and my campaign work at the University of South Florida, I've contributed to brand strategy, event marketing, internal communications, consumer research, and creative content development. Whether coordinating large-scale events, developing campaign strategies, or producing creative assets, I enjoy building marketing that is thoughtful, purposeful, and centered around people.

I'm passionate about creating marketing that is purposeful, memorable, and grounded in strategy. As I continue building my career, my goal is to contribute to organizations that value collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning while helping create work that leaves a lasting impact.

My Responsibilities

Creative Direction • Campaign Development • Advertising Strategy • Brand Positioning • Copywriting

Our team was challenged with developing a marketing campaign for a product that most consumers would naturally question or overlook. We were assigned Hormel's Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bacon and tasked with creating a campaign for a product that is deemed "unmarketable" and generate curiosity, build awareness, and encourage people to give an unconventional product a chance.

The Challenge

The Strategy

Our strategy centered on creating curiosity and conversation. Rather than relying on persuasion tactics, we wanted to generate curiosity and encourage people to experience the product for themselves. We built our campaign around the idea that interesting combinations create natural conversations, especially when paired with a limited-time promotion. By combining humor, storytelling, traditional and digital marketing channels, and experiential ideas, we aimed to generate user-generated content while keeping the campaign memorable.

My Role

With my official title being "Advertisement Director" I helped develop the campaign strategy and played a lead role in bringing our creative concept to life. I wrote and directed a commercial, planned the visual storytelling, and edited the final production in Adobe Premiere, including color correction and post-production as well as the project as a whole. While a commercial wasn't required for the assignment, our team chose to go beyond the project requirements to create a complete campaign experience.

The final product of our campaign combined both strategic planning and creative execution through a fully produced commercial supported by research, media strategy, and integrated promotional and marketing ideas that tied everything together. Working within a student budget and limited resources pushed us to be intentional with every decision and focus on what would actually grab attention. Ultimately, the project reinforced that with an unconventional product, strong storytelling and execution are what drive interest and get people talking.

Execution

From me to you, enjoy!

The commercial follows a simple setup featuring Hormel bacon before transitioning into an unexpected Cinnamon Toast Crunch crossover. The interaction between the two roommates builds into a comedic gag meant to grab attention and make the ad more memorable. From there, it leads into a final mashup reveal with a voiceover that ties everything together and reinforces the concept of the combined product. Even with limited resources and not having access to the actual packaging, the focus was on creating something eye-catching through contrast, humor, and an unexpected product pairing.

Weight Warriors

My Roles:

Market Research • Consumer Insights • Campaign Strategy • Brand Development

What is Weight Warriors?

Weight Warriors was a campaign developed to help modernize TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a nonprofit weight-loss organization, by increasing awareness and attracting a younger audience. The campaign focused on creating a more engaging digital experience through a gamified mobile app that encouraged users to build healthier habits through progress tracking, challenges, rewards, and community support. The goal was to improve user acquisition and retention while making TOPS more accessible and relevant for young adults.

Key Contributions

I helped develop the Weight Warriors campaign by contributing to the research, strategic recommendations, and creative direction behind the brand concept. My role focused on understanding the target audience, identifying opportunities for TOPS to modernize, and developing campaign ideas centered around gamification, digital engagement, and community-building.

Target Audience

The campaign focused on reaching younger adults, specifically men ages 18–35, who were interested in improving their health but felt traditional weight-loss programs were outdated or not designed for them. Research showed that this audience valued easy-to-follow plans, encouragement, progress tracking, and affordable solutions that allowed them to stay motivated on their own terms.

Marketing Strategy

The campaign strategy focused on two key opportunities: developing a gamified TOPS mobile app and increasing brand awareness through college campus pop-up events and social media. The app strategy incorporated features such as challenges, badges, streaks, leaderboards, rewards, and social interaction to improve motivation and retention. The campus events were designed to introduce TOPS to younger audiences through wellness activities, giveaways, and digital engagement that connected users back to the app.

Research & Insights

Research was conducted through an online survey of 101 respondents to better understand consumer attitudes toward fitness programs, app features, and health-related goals. Findings showed strong interest in features such as progress tracking, activity logging, nutrition tracking, and gamification. These insights helped shape the campaign strategy by highlighting the importance of creating a more engaging, supportive, and technology-driven experience for TOPS users.
